Prayer meeting...We’ll meet at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16 to join together in collective prayer. We’ll pray for the needs of our church and our community. Come join the prayer circle and unite with others as we praise and petition our Lord together.
Ladies Craft Time…Ladies come to the church on Saturday, August 19 between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. (for however long you wish to stay). Bring a current craft item and spend time together in fellowship. Bring your favorite treat if you like.
New Sermon Series Begins Next Week…Pastor Jay will begin a new sermon series called “Genuine Love” on August 20. This series, which will continue until Christmas, will focus on the love of God, how it as shown, and how we show it to others.
Ladies Painting Class…Ladies, here’s something for your creative side! On August 21, at 6:30 p.m. we have a date with a local artist. We’ll go to her studio, which is in Grayslake at 917 Shooting Star Road. Everyone will receive a canvas, and the artist will guide the class through the steps to make an amazing piece of art (even if you’ve never painted before). The cost is $25 per person, and the proceeds go to a local Christian family to help with their adoption costs. The sign up deadline is next Sunday, August 13,so don’t wait! (Note: Those who want to carpool or follow a lead car to this address can meet at the church at 6:00 p.m.)
Awana Leader Training…All leaders are asked to attend training on August 23 at 7:00 p.m., so please mark your calendars and plan to attend. The first night of Awana (orientation) will be September 6.
