ANNOUNCEMENTS AND HAPPENINGS

Special Note: Sunday and Thursday Small Group

These meetings are no longer listed on the calendar, but they actively continue to meet in the background.

• The Sunday group, will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, meeting via ZOOM only, at 4:30 p.m., led by Mike and Cindy Metcalf
• The Thursday group meets at the church, at 6:30 p.m., led by Terry and Linda Barker  

Meeting dates may fluctuate based on group attendance, so feel free to contact the group leaders if you wish to find out about the current topic of study or specifically when the current month’s meetings will be held.

Week of September 1-7

Ladies Summer Bible Study, Sept. 3…The Ladies Summer Bible Study consists of a Deep Dive into Ephesians. This summer study, led by Becky Martens, will meet one more time, on September 3, at the church. Come at 6:00 p.m. with your meal if you like. Or come at 6:30 when the study begins. See Becky if you have any questions. Please Note: A Fall Bible Study with Becky is in the works.

Men’s Breakfast, Sept. 7…All men are encouraged to join us for our monthly meeting—for a light breakfast, time in prayer, and fellowship. We will meet at the church at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7.

Week of September 8-14

Communion, Sept. 8…

Prayer Meeting, Sept. 8…Prayer Meeting is held monthly on the second Sunday of each month. Join us on September 8 at 4:00 p.m. We will pray together as we focus on needs and praises for our church, our community, and beyond.

Identity Youth Group, Sept. 8…This group meets at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. each Sunday evening. All teens are encouraged to come enjoy a fun time together as well as study the Word of God.

Creation Answers for Today, Sept. 9…Led by Marty Engel, this group meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. There’s no set membership or any pre‑work. Join Marty at the church at 6:00 p.m. (new time) on the 9th for Biblical answers and an open discussion. The topic of discussion will be provided prior to each meeting. Feel free to bring a friend!

Family Night, Sept. 13…Our September Family Night event will be on Friday, September 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the church. We’ll again offer a “back to school” game night event, starting with pizza at 6:00 along with prayer for the students, administrators, teachers, and staff regarding growth and successes in the new school year. Then at 7:00, we’ll transition to game time. Please RSVP to gagesbible@gmail.com to provide a head count for the pizza order or do so on the sign-up sheet on the table at the back of the Sanctuary.

Week of September 15-21

Identity Youth Group, Sept. 15…This group meets at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. each Sunday evening. All teens are encouraged to come enjoy a fun time together as well as study the Word of God.

Ladies Fellowship Breakfast, Sept. 21…This ministry meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Panera Bread on 254 E Rollins Road in Round Lake Beach. Meet at 8:30 a.m. on September 21 for fellowship time. Feel free to purchase coffee/breakfast as you arrive.

Week of September 22-28

Board Meeting, Sept. 22…The September Board Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 22 at 3:30 p.m. Please keep our church elders and deacons in prayer as they meet to discuss current business and plan for the coming months.

Week of September 29-October 5

Fifth Sunday Worship Service, Sept. 29…For the fifth Sunday, we will have Children’s Church. Afterward, we’ll share a SSSS meal--that is Sunday Soup, Salad, and Sandwiches. A sign-up sheet will be available by 9/15, but be thinking now of which entry you would like to provide for the meal…soup, salad, or sandwiches (or maybe just bring chips if it’s easier for you!). Note: We'll have no service after lunch, and the youth group will still meet at 6:00 p.m.
